Travel Information for Estrella de Mar

We are located on the Mar Menor in Murcia.  The closest airport is Murcia San Javier (MJV) which is just 15 mins away.  Alicante (ALC) airport is 1 hour.  The map below shows an overview of the Mar Menor highlighting Estrella de Mar and the airport (San Javier).

You can either hire a car or arrange an airport transfer.  We would recommend car hire as it is relatively inexpensive and there are plenty of places to visit in the area, you do not wish to drive airport transfers cost 70 euros (round trip) to Estrella de Mar.

Note regarding Car Hire 2009: This year due to the financial situation with the banks there is a huge lack of hire cars.  This means that they are much more expensive than they used to be, as there simply aren't enough to go around.  Please book your hire car early.   Please beware of the hire company Goldcar, one of our clients had a very bad experience with them - prices quoted were not honoured and he car was very poor.
